Gary C. Bernard, MD
Dr. Bernard was born and raised in Syracuse, N.Y. He graduated From Meharry Medical College in 1992 with a Doctorate degree in Medicine. He continued his medical education at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. where he studied family practice. From there, he began his study of Internal Medicine at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital. Afterwards, Dr. Bernard moved to Jacksonville in order to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. Dr. Bernard has been in the private practice of Family & Internal Medicine since 1999.
Dr. Bernard believes in treating every aspect of an individual’s health, from physical ills, diet, injuries, acquired disease states, to general well being. The concept that a healthy body and healthy mind create a truly healthy individual is key to his practice of medicine. Therefore, Dr. Bernard and Pointe Medical Services attempt to accomplish as much as possible in treating an individual’s illness at one location in a relaxed and efficient environment. Of course, some illnesses require the use of specialists, and Pointe Medical Services can arrange for our patients to see the most qualified specialists available.
